The centre plastic oval has three small slots in its upper lip which are used to ease this bit carefully out, using an appropriate tool (I used two small oval nails with the points files off).
The complete module is retained by two Torx screws and two spring clips which pull away with the module. Then unclip the two module plugs, first releasing the retaining clips. the module can then be worked on, on your lap. The lamp holders are removed with a 1/4 anti-clockwise turn using pliers - 9 for the back lighting and millions for the warning lights. Good lamps should read about 13 ohms across the terminals.

Halfords sell the lamps (part No 286) at 99p each.

Reverse procedure to put back again, then reset clock, date etc...
It might look dumpy, roll around the corners, have horrific A-pillar blind spots, and the worst dash reflection on the planet, but once you've strapped a kid into the car seat in the back of one these a few times going back to an 'ordinary' car is a right pain in the bum - literally! Will be on the look out for a 110 HDi Exclusive in a couple of years to upgrade our current HDi 90 SX... :?

If only it had hydropneumatic suspension :(

A friend has a 1.6HDi and it's not been a moments trouble despite not being particularly well cared for. It goes rather well and has survived the family rough and tumble very commendably. They're tougher than they look :)

My major gripe is the suspension. It feels like Citroen neglected to fit any kind of suspension at all - less to go wrong if you fit no springs I guess.

A shame as it lets down an otherwise great car :(

Maybe it is just me. I've been running on spheres amd LHM for so long now that anything not so equipped just does not feel right.

Hey GUYS!

ITS NOT MINE! I repeat NOT MINE!!

Jim, Ive also been riding on LHM since a year or so after passing my test - thats about 13 years now!

Things come close to consideration, but the LHM/Spheres win be back every time!
