Help with Fuses and Power to Elec Seats

Hi,

I need to work out which fuse is for what in the dashboard mounted fusebox on my '96 Activa. The rating of the fuses doesn't seem to coincide with either the list in the handbook or haynes. These two lists also don't match each other either!

This all stems from getting hold of a set of leather electric seats which I am hoping to find a power source for. Having taken out the centre console and seats at the weekend, there seems to be wiring for HEATING the seats but NOT ADJUSTMENT. Was hoping to use this heating circuit for the adjustment but doesn't seem to have any power to it.

The wiring includes everything down to the yellow connectors to the back of the rotary heater controls in the centre console, albeit all wrapped up in protective foam covering.

What is going on?

PS........ I've got hold of some alcantara door cards in dark grey. These look fantastic with the black leather seats....... will post some pics when all done.

When I put electric seats in my VSX it was already fitted with heated seats so the only wiring I had to do related to powering seat movement. As I couldn't find a pre-wired harness I tapped into the power supply to the ignition switch prior to the switch by soldering in the connection then fitted an inline fuse. Bear in mind that the seats will only be adjusted very occasionally and even then for a very short period of time so uverloading the circuit is very unlikely.

I quite agree with the Alcantara door cards, I put them in mine with "wood" inserts (OK plastic wood ) a great match with black leather.
