Laguna 2 dci white smoke on take off ?

Unread post by cookie boy »

Hi all, I have a laguna 1.9 dci. I recently fitted a turbo, egr & intercooler, I used it for about 50 - 100 miles but then noticed oil sweating out of the throttle body & egr joints. On a further look I found the breather filter/canister was blocked not allowing the oil to drain back to the sump. I cleared the pipe & block, replacing the filter/canister too.
I am very concerned about it now as about 150 miles on, I can started to see white smoke on take off, although this only happens untill the engine gets to normal temperature, the problem is then gone? It uses no noticable oil water or fuel (I check it all the time!) nor does it have any fault codes. I suspect a dribbling injector, but would love some more opinions. Thanks Steve

Well as you have suspected, it's over fueling, this could also be down to incorrect pump timing.

Its common rail so the timing should be ok i guess? Mmm, i think i might remove the injectors & look at the nozzles for clues.
Thanks Steve
