Testing Radiators

Post by xmexclusive »

Hi All
Have some recovered radiators to check out. Anyone know what sort of pressure to take them up to. I was thinking about 15 or 20 psi.
Thanks

Hi Broyty

Thanks, will have a try tomorrow using a foot pump as I suspect that a compressor will not give fine enough pressure control.

Hi Peter

Hope you had a good time in the far North.

Hi All

The air test worked fine but the small rads were not so good as it took eight leakers to find the one good one that I used. At this rate I will soon have a batch of ten for recoring. Anyone recommend firms for recoring? Is it economic anyway?
