I told you Chris you would get bitten by the bug  , it looks like the dodo juice spin doctor and some dodo juice goodies too . It will soon turn into the FCCF soon ( French car cleaning forum ) . Have fun you will enjoy it and looking at the results you've achieved already they are very nice .

C5 V6 Exclusive Auto (AC) weighs, apparently, 50kgs more than the Xantia V6 Exclusive, but has 16BHP more and 20lbft more torque.

I wish I'd gone for the one I had a chance to buy actually.

Hopefully not Mark, this could well get expensive if I do

Yes, your right, its the dodo juice spin dotcot pro. Seems like a good machine and I like the polishes they recommended too, they seem quite oily and so are easy to machine with, rather than drying out quickly.

There is certainly a lot of skill needed to get good results, not something I have a lot of at the moment!

And according to the book figures has a slower 0-60 time

I can say that they will not handle as well, they are much larger cars and feel it. I always say that I wish the C5 drove a bit more like an XM or Xantia, unfortunately they dont, very good cars though.

The Activa passed its MOT today with no advisories, only a comment on how good its condition is. :-D

I also got a bit more machine polishing done to the V6, all of the NS, the bonnet and the boot again. I did a two stage polish with a more agressive and then a finer pad and polish, finished off with a wax layer. Its looking much better, I have not quite perfected my methods yet and so there is still a few small swirls but its getting there.

Thanks Jim and Mark :-D

It was interesting driving the Activa again the other day, my first drive of it after driving the V6 daily for a few days. They are superb cars and handle nothing like a normal hydractive, the V6 handles well but the Activa is something else, they are fantastic. I challange anyone and anything to keep up with me on real world twisty roads. Having the two Xantias is definitely making me see their own impressive characteristics.

Today I finished the machine polishing on the Xantia V6, followed by waxing it to help seal in the finish. It is looking much better and im quite impressed with the results. It being a dark grey it does not get the same stand out finish as a black, blue or flat red car would but it does look very nice after all the polishing. My machine polishing techniques still need a bit of refining but im pretty happy with it.

I might well get the OSR wing and door painted at some point, as it is dented and with a colour mismatch. However Ill see how things go, the paintwork seems to be original throughout, if its not then its been painted very well, so it would be a shame to change things and the rest of the car is very tidy indeed.

Today I also had my Advanced Driving test with the IAM. My main worry was actually my eyesight, for some reason a few days ago I my right eye went bloodshot and is slightly painful with a slight blur of vision. However I passed my IAM test, I could not be happier, im very glad I went though the training and even more so that I passed the test :)

The V6 is now just about ready for CXM, I can't wait for that 8-)

Chris, well done on the IAM test =D> Excellent! I gues you found it as nerve-wracking as the ordinary test, if not moreso? I know I would...

And the V6, well, what can I say. I'm absolutely astounded. Vince has competition  Seriously, she's looking a minter 8-)

Thanks Mark, I'm very glad I went for a rotary polisher, they really are a very good bit of kit. I am also glad that I did the car over a few days, as its not easy work. I don't know how Vince does a full car in one day, they are certainly long days!

Thanks Jim, yes it was a bit nerve wracking and it certainly reminded me of my normal driving test, not knowing how I had really done until the end. So that is another test passed, along with my HGV Class-2 I did a couple of years ago. Now I want to do my towing test :)

Thanks :-D she is looking very well but it was a very good base to start with. I can see me getting quite into this machine polishing thing, only for our own cars though ... which is a shame most of ours are a shade of silver or white, as its the deeper colours which look the best. The red XM will look superb if I get time to do that ... I'm going to be sticking it up for sale on the net today.

Chris here's a very good alternative to the dodo juice supernatural hybrid ,Finishkare fk1000p , again you can try it in a sample size . The normal size tin is big and very good Vfm , read the reviews on Cyc , I'll bring a selection along to the Cxm if you want to try something on the V6 .
