Air Con OIL SUMP from 2 litre to XUD???

Hi all,

Advise please ... will a 2.oi Petrol XU Air Con Oil Sump fit stright onto an XUD 9te block???

The engine's original sump has 2 hair line cracks AND the threads in the sump plug have stripped.. I have a sump off a 2.oi 1989 unit - the bolts line up, but NEED to be sure it does not foul the XUD oil pump pick up..

ANYONE else been here before or am I the first??

Well looks like i am the first one here then...

Took the plunge last night and fitted the sump to the engine, the bolt holes are in exactly the same place on the Petrol sump as the XUD block, so applied the sealent and bolted it up... and it seems to have gone on fine

Time will tell now, when I fill with oil and hope its sealed up and the oil pump can pick up ok..

..................... but theres a problem!!

Tonight, put the air con compressor on, BUT, the Altinator/ HP Pump bracket WONT fit in place now!!

The Mounts for the Air con pump are SLIGHTLY too high up on the Sump :
