Didnt know these existed...i presume they were deemed too good for blighty

After a bit of digging, i came across this info. Clearly they were mistaken...

Heuliez designed in 1996 a convertible version of Xantia. Unfortunately this idea didn´t never see the day light. This Xantia had retractable hardtop.

It's a photoshop...I believe the folding top bit coming from a pic of a BMW.

Seen this pic before. If you look closely you can actually see its a shop too

bad photoshop at that too.
real convertable would have bee nice, but are they really practical, and doesn't the extra chassis support under the body tend to ruin cars' handling?

Just as well I reckon what with their track record of door hinge welding on the estate version, I just shudder to think of the consequences of the longer door for a convertible.

BMW E30 convertible photoshop. Look at the dash and steering wheel....

To be honest: The car was created by morphing a Citroen Xantia and a BMW 325i convertible together - using photoshop;-)
I placed both cars on the same spot and tried to merge both pictures. The imaging process took me some 2 hours, including removal of the two rear doors of the citroen and the BMW badge from the steering wheel.
