Manual to Electric window winder Xantia R reg

Hi
I need to change a damaged rear door for a better one but i have a slight problem

The original door has electric window whereas the new one is manual

Is it a relatively straight forward (for a Xantia

) job to exchange the mechanism

The electric motor assembly is removed quite easily IIRC about 3 or 4 small bolts, plus the switch. The most difficult part for me would be getting the loom into the new door without damaging it.

Older forum members may recall forum stalwart "Dave Burns" fitting electric rear windows to his LX Xantia.

You could try a search on Dave's post's to see if he gave details on the wiring/loom element.
