Xantia td Pipework help

Can anybody identify this? its a ph1 xantia 1.9td. Noticed this is off whilst changing clutch.

If you look from front of the car, there is a right angled bracket that comes off the left hand side of the 10mm nut that holds the back of the lhm tank in place. The bracket is parallel with the bulkhead. It has two sensors with 4mm vacuum hose coming off them, that join to a t-piece. The other long pipe off the t-piece goes to nowhere on my engine, what is this for & where does it go? Its been connected up to something it the past as the end is split.

Is this something to do with the actuator pipework, map sensor

Ill try & take a photo tomorrow, access is poor though.

I take it that the car's build date is 96 onwards, if so it appears to be the solenoids controlling the EGR valve and the diesel pump timing advance/idle speed. They take vacuum from the pump on the end of the cylinder head/camshaft with the solenoids controlling when vacuum is applied. You can leave the EGR valve disconnected (recommended actually to prevent a build up of gunge) but the diesel pump one really needs connecting to avoid the engine stalling when cold or when the A/C is turned on.

Its a 1997 ph1. Doesn't appear to have any running issues, should i leave it be?

I initially thought it was joined to the turbo actuator pipe, but now ive done a bit of research its a kkk unit with no actuator pipe. I was imagining 30+ psi boost due to bleeding off & turbo failure as it seems to be quite fit now clutch is done

Well yes you can leave it alone if you're happy with the way its running though obviously your curiosity may get the better of you at some point,,,,,,,,,,,,,
