bx lower engine mount

when replacing the lower engine mount voided rubber bush which way up do you have the spaces in the bush, is it critical?

The solid rubber parts of the bush should be in the vertical plain with spaces at the side, if you had it the other way round you would probably get greatly increased vibration.
