2001 Scenic Replacement RF Plip Sync??

Unread post by Ross_K »

Hi, one of the keys that came with the Scenic had a broken plip button. When I opened up the key it turned out the circuit board inside was cracked and bent.

So I buy a replacement off the bay and swap the old key blade and transponder chip into in.

The "new" key starts the car fine, but obviously as the circuit board in the key has changed, I now need to sync it with the car so the central locking works - anybody know how this is done?

I've tried the method which works on my Kangoo (hold c/l button for 5 seconds, wait for doors to lock and unlock, hit key button a couple of times) but it doesn't work...

Answers on a postcard please. 8)

Oh yeah, key is this one-button RF type:

You can't synchronise a second hand key to match your car.
