Citroen Relay remote and Code card

Post by Tavietruffles »

Hi all

Can anyone shade any light on the following.

Clearing out a box of keys i have a brand new citroen relay remote (flip key type with 3 buttons) the key is cut to suit a particular van (i have the vin number) and i also have a code card also for the same vin.

Can the key be reprogramed to suit another vehicle or would i have to used the code card???

thanks

Tim

PS been bidding on some citroen on ebay this week!

No these keys are specific to the van they were ordered for & cant be reprogramed to another car. They cant even be reprogramed to the van that it originally worked on if they are deleted from the memory. The imobilisers on these vans are a silly fiat system.

Thanks for that so the only useful bit is the battery then!!!

I got it in a joblot of parts from a Citroen dealer before it went bust, what is quite bad is that it has all the vehicle details and the owners address, so i think i best dispose of it.......... Unless someone whants a cheep van?

Would it be good PR to just send it to the current registered owner, with a business card?
