Lexia/PPS scanner.

Hi, All.

Guys, what do you think about purchasing of Lexia/ PPS scanner via Internet on this China factory?

I don't have an experience of purchasing via internet those things.
What's your opinion?

Try to engauge them in a online chat session to try and judge how reliable they are and shop around for prices.

I did it, like you told me. At first, they told me, that the price of this gerät
is 300 USD and there's no Lexia on their stock. In a letter, which they send me in a half an hour later, they
told that price of this device is 230 USD and they have it on their stock???? They send me a bank requisites
of a payment account. Payment via Western Union.
Very strange cost changing during a half an hour. May be I'm very mistrustful?

Western Union is a known scammers utility because once your money is in the system, it's practically untraceable and you can't get it refunded if the seller doesn't play fair.

So my first advice would be to NOT pay via W.U. and judging by their contradictory replies I wouldn't trust them to be completely honest about the limitations of this bit of kit either. In fact, it you consider you also need a laptop to complete the kit, they are not very price-competitive at all. For the same or less, you could buy a used original Lexia IMO

The company I dealt with listed the Lexia as one of their product lines. There's loads that do, so you have to ask for their best price and if it isn't competitive let them know. I bought mine via Paypal.

The good thing about an interface and laptop is that it can offer multiple diagnostic functions. The kit I bought also came with Pug software and to these apps I've also added ECU remapping/reflashing software and the setup and diagnostic software for the Bigas LPG that my car is fitted with.

Could you be persuaded (with suitable remuneration

) to run your Lexia over my Xantia. I have an intermittent ABS light and it would be helpful to know which wheel is causing the problem.

Hi Hirsty,

I think that should be OK. I haven't done much with the ABS side of things apart from reading and erasing codes but I know that the software expects the wheel to be off the ground so that it can be rotated and the signal analysed. Where abouts are you in SY? Send me a PM if you want to keep it private.

So is this the Lexia 2 or 3?

Isn't the Lexia 3 incompatable with the Xantia's non OBwasnim interface?

Lexia 3 is compatible with the xantia. If it's a mk1 though you need the 30 pin adaptor.

No problem I got the 30 pin interface with the Lexia, it works OK on the XMs and directly with the C5. Non of my Citroens are/have been OBD compliant.

I contacted with this OBD factory again. They told me that Lexia3 costs
700$

I think it would be better to purchase simple OBD code reader.

You could do but remember that it will only work with later cars - Since 2003 for diesel vehicles and since 2000 for gasoline vehicles, it'll only give you generic OBD codes and may not display live data.

Hi Steve.
Birthdate of my car is April,2008. I think It will work.
I saw demo version of this program downloaded from site.
This program cause OBD codes and some information from sensors.
But I did not find such a parameter, like "injection time" inside a program.
Lexia shows this parametr without any problems.
