Malc,
I had in a P plate LX car in to sell, with non functioning rear fogs!

It turned out to be a break in the wire between the fuse box and the jining PLUG on the rear a pillar, behind the rear drivers side passenger...

If you remove the trim off the pillar, theres a number of connecting plugs... one of those wires goto the fogs in the boot.. directly from the Fog fuse in the fuse box.. I put in a new wire to the plug and they worked!!!

fixed it today, i finaly traced the fault to being some were in the loom from half way along the O/S/R door sill/ledge (under carpet),to the plug conector on the inside of the rear quarter pillar behind the plastic trim,

this section of loom runs up the front inside of the inner wing under the plastic trim panel beside the seat, there is no obvious way any of the wires could become damaged, but there was no power from the above mentioned section of loom right up to the plug,
weard
