Hi there,
Planning to change the clutch on my 99 Xantia HDI (first time it's being changed) and would like to know if I should buy new sealing rubber rings sitting in the differential/gearbox housing, where the drive shafts are inserted. Currently they're sealing well and there's no leak.
Also, there seems to be a minor leak where the differential/gearbox housing is in contact with (is bolted to) the engine. Is this common and how will I remedy this now that I will have the thing off?
Thanks a lot,
Gabriel

citroen/pug do say to replace these seals on removing and refitting the drive shafts, as it only takes a couple of min's you might just as well, also it pays to have to hand and fit, if there is any play in the nylon fork spindle bushes, they dont cost much from citroen,
the oil seapaing at the engine/box joint might just be from the cam cover sealtop running down end of the engine, at the worst its the rear crank seal, but these dont offten leak
