STOP light coming on during/after hard braking

Post by Sphinx »

Hi there

Quick question:
The other night I was driving along and thought I'd give the brakes a good test; so I did a few hard braking tests from around 50-60 to a stop. Everything was fine apart from the STOP light came on for a second when almost at a complete stop.
Can anyone shed some light on what might cause this? or is it just normal?

Thanks

Tom

What condition is your accumulator sphere in? How long between it's ticks?
Is your LHM level correct?
Is your coolant level correct?

It's almost certainly the LHM sloshing about.

I would say it's usually the accumulator sphere. LHM sloshing around shouldn't bring the light on at normal driving height unless the level is very low.

Do you get a wiff of curry when you turn your heater on? If so, the matrix is leaking.
