its been a while since i pulled a headunit out but is it possible to fit a double DIN unit and do away with the old head unit and junk changer? or are we stuck with single DIN and a facia adaptor?
i like these http://www.kenwood.eu/products/car/rece ... s/DPX501U/
if we are stuck with single then is there anywhere that sells the facia adaptors that cover the stereo like a BX. i saw one years ago but not since.
thanks

It's a DIN-sized slot, so unless you're handy with a Dremel you won't fit a double-DIN unit in there.
The flip-down cover was discussed here before Christmas - seemingly fitted as standard to very late model Xantias so a scrapyard might be your best bet.
I remember them being obscenely expensive at my local dealer when I went looking for a new one a couple of years ago...

they used to be available on ebay, and even halfrauds had them for a while some time ago, cheaper than the non flap version too if memory serves, but I haven't seen one in years.

Hi,
I bought a flip down cover from fleabay about 4 years ago---like the old Bx covers. It was new Citroen stuff, and when I checked price aginst part number, it would have been £48.
It is very handy for me cos I keep on forgetting to remove face off panel on the CD player hidden nicely behind flip cover.

Yeah, that's what I mean by obscenely expensive - the Autoleads non-flip one was about 8 quid at the time.Gregg1100 wrote:I bought a flip down cover from fleabay about 4 years ago---like the old Bx covers. And it seems to have got even more expensive since then...
Part number is 96118897ZL just in case you can't make it out from the screenshot (No. 5 in the diagram below).

From memory, there are three blocks, two of which are standard, the third being for the remote steering wheel controls. My Sony head unit fitted my R reg MK1 straight out the box.xantiatdsx wrote:anyone got a photo of the rear of a S reg radio so i can see the connectors.
