P.M. Question

Post by fatherjack2002 »

Hope i don't appear too stupid here  , but just been checking my messages, "Sentbox" is pretty self explanitory, but how does the "Outbox" work ?? , as there are 2 messages in there, which i thought had been sent, are they still in there because the recipients mailbox is full ? , and do i need to re-send them, or will they automatically send at some point,

Thanks Paul........

BTW,, both messages are for Andmcit (Andrew), so if you read this Andrew P.M. me and i'll foward them, or PM me with a contact number, cheers Paul

As I understand it the outbox contains messages which have not been read/opened by the recipient, as to whether that is affected by a full mailbox I don't know.

I've just tried sending a message to myself and that is indeed what happens.

Unless the sender's Outbox is over capacity, a message will remain there until opened (or deleted unread) by the recipient.

I don't know about older versions of php but certainly from 3 upwards, it seems to let people run over 100% capacity on their mailboxes until the system needs space - then it purges back to the nominal threshold again.

Regards, Adam.
