Sprocket holding tool

Unread post by Toby_HDi »

Just wondering if the below tool is any good. I've got to a point now where I realise I can't do anything else on the car until the cam sprocket is tightened properly.

Sprocket Holding Tool

I know one can be made at home but I do not have anything to make it with.

I suppose that tool will do the job but can't you improvise by inserting a screwdriver through the sprocket to lock it against a ledge on the cylinder head?
