Hi,
I possess a 2004 Renault Scenic Dynamique 1.6 petrol- automatic.
Occasionally when driving at intermediate speed, the gearbox appears to drop a gear with a clunk, which then brings up electronic fault, check gearbox on dash screen, The car will then not change gear until you stop, turn off and restart.
I have had the car diagnosed by Renault garage, who state it is a fault EVM solenoid on hydraulic distribution system of auto gearbox.
If I can obtain the solenoid valves, is this a job I can do or do I need to have it plugged into computer to reset any values of ECU etc. I am a competent car DIYer
Cheers
