Hi All : on the 1.9 ZX TD girling (cjn48) front brake caliper you have 2 guide pin bolts that are threaded in to the back of the guide pins with thread lock, does anyone have any pins and or know What tourque to tighten them to .. ? Cheers All, Angus

The bolts will be available from a Citroen dealer....sometimes new bolts come with some makes of brake pads.

Thanks guys, I can go and freeze a bit more now !
Problem started with the ZX TD Haynes Manual (J to L registration)
printed: 1998
which states:Guide pin bolts (CJN48 caliper) 120 nm / 89 lbft
I should have twigged that this was too high a torque for the nut size/ application !!
tired cold and nearly done i stripped 2, thinking the first was a previous weakness.
Thanks again, and a very trouble free year to all !

To be honest I never use a torque wrench for anything like this, I just use what I consider to be a decent tightness.
Use the prinipal that the bigger the spanner / socket the tighter the bolt / nut will be.
Cheers.
