adjusting / changing alternator drivebelt 98 espace dt

i cannot find any adjuster to slacken off to change the drivebelt on my espace, usually on cars i have done before there is a threaded bar which you turn which slackens and tightens the drivebelt. then a pivot bolt is tightened up, but no not on my espace. i see the pivot bolt but not any way of adjusting.... help please

it could have (and probably has ) been broken off in the past. Also the alternator is an absolute pig to get at (as you have found!) it may just be well hidden. I need to do mine!!
