A couple of weeks ago I noticed LHM leaking from the rear suspension, which on investigation was coming from a pipe that runs from above the rear axle forward to the engine bay, so I presume its a return line. Easily fixed, & has been fine until this morning when the rear suspension went down on starting & wouldnt come back up?
However, if I select it up (to the rough road position) both front & back come up Ok, but if I then re select normal the back stays up??
If I then stop the engine for a few minutes it all comes good ie the back returns to the normal ride hight & appropriate firmness until the next time I switch off when the whole sequence starts again??? The front is fine in all settings.
Crazy I know, but believe me I'm not making it up.
Could it be that the pipe failing has allowed air into the system, & if so how do I bleed it, or is there some other mystical problem thats totally un related.
All thoughts gratefully received.
