XUD tuning

Post by eye_flys »

I've had this link in my bookmarks for a while

I'm considering doing some of the mods to my 405 just to make it a bit more driveable. It's all good and well when it's on boost but sometimes it's just a bit lacking.
I'm particularly worried about affecting the reliability - but I have read that these engines run very lean as standard, and can handle the extra 20bhp or so without any extra modifications. True?

I have done the two easiest modifications so far, upping the fuelling a touch and upping the maximum engine speed to 5200rpm
Seems to have made a marked difference, acceleration through the gears is better. :o
