FINDING AIRLEAK
WHATS THE BEST WAY OF FINDING AN AIR LEAK ON AN ENGINE, WITHOUT HVAING TO STRIP IT DOWN.

If you mean on the intake, I usually use either a set of earphones as used on domestic air flights (ear phones connected to open ended tubing) or a piece of hose run around the area suspected of leaking.
To isolate the spot if it's not a clear sucking sound, a bit of shaving cream/lather or a foaming aerosol upholstery cleaner applied around the joints usually causes a whistling sound and makes it easy to see & hear.
