Xantia Boot won't open - I can't open the boot on my xantia

Excuse the posting but I have intentionally posted this on the forum to tell people (via the search engines) how to open a locked boot.

The wife borrowed my Xantia estate two weeks ago and came back with complaining that the boot would not open on central locking or the key.

The answer was simple. I used the spare sprayed liberally with WD40 and it opened easy. The reason it would not open on the main key was that it was slightly worn and would not fit all the way into the barrel. I do hope this help someone out with a really simple problem.

Don't apologise magictorch, it is what the forums are here for, ideas and experiences that help one another.
That one could be a life saver in the right circumstances.
