Hello All,
I've not had any reason to post lately (however I do enjoy reading other posts, especially the blogs!) as the 306 has been running as sweet as a nut...until now.
when accelerating hard a slight missfire can be felt, this has started to manifest as a severe missfire if the car has been left stood over the weekend (when it's cold and damp) I'm guessing that the worse one is caused by the damp.
I have a feeling that the coil pack could be on it's way out, the car (2001, 306 1.4 LX) has done just over 100K now.
Is there a simple way to test the coil pack as substituting it is an expensive way to find out that it might not be the problem.
Thanks.

that depends on were you are as i have a second hand one to use for test purposes if you are close to east sussex,
or you could buy 4 flasher caps which are yellow plug caps with a spark gap inside, so you fit all 4 then fit the coil pack back in place and start the engine,
these are noot a lot of money from a good motor factors
