Unless someone has done an engine swap it looks very good, well worth the money i think for veggie motoring in comfort :Dddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd

hi KP :) yep I can vouch for veg oil and electric leather, it makes for a good distance car ..

I am not convinced this 1.9 TD has cruise control mind... ( I did fit a throttle lock device to mine, its usefulness is argueable)

being an auto it probably does have cruise control

i would say that is a rare find in the combination of estate, exclusive and the 1.9td engine

i wouldn't have been surprised if that was a 2.1 in that trim/body shape combo.

Was the Xantia ever available with an autobox and HDi or 2.1TD engines?

I seem to remember the only automatic diesel Xantia for quite a while was the 1.9 TD, and it was sold alongside the manual HDi until fairly late in production? Hence the reason perhaps that the 1.9 found its way into Exclusive trim.

well yes that is a valid point, but i don't know, it would have been nice to put the auto box on the 2.1 as it was a lovely engine, i can't ever recall seeing one myself, i think the engine/box combo may have been too big for the xantia.

i wonder if it's a different box to the one on the v6

According to the Citroën spec sheet of the day only petrol auto's had cruise control.

The performance of a 1.9TD auto estate might test your patience though, 0-60 in 14.2 seconds and a combined fuel consumption figure of 34.9mpg compared with 49.6 for the HDi.

AFAIK the 2.1 was only available in Xantia's with a manual gearbox.

Speaking of rare Xantias, I saw one on a 51 plate a few weeks ago.
I think it was a fairly run of the mill 1.8i 16V, certainly it was a petrol engine, and the owner clearly wondered why I was staring at his car!, but I don't recall having seen one beyond Y reg before.
