Use a wide, thin blade carefully to pop out the trim and the display unit is IIRC retained by a couple of torx screws.

Halfords have the bulbs at around £2 each but there are other sources that are much cheaper - possibly GSF.

One day I'll get round to fixing mine too :?

Hi myglaren  Thankyou for your reply,Just to double clarify I assume you are refering to the slightly darker oval trim around the display set into the dash ??

That's it. A blunt table knife is an often quoted tool of choice to remove it. Must be fairly wide or the trim will be permanently distorted.
