Locally spotted DS

Post by MikeT »

I saw one of these pass by me this afternoon and I'm pretty sure I've seen it once before so assume it's local...

It's not as pretty as the one in the pic but it's the same colour ( it looks a little tired and has some largish but shallow dents to the doors) and presumably road-legal. I noticed the reg has a block of four numbers, then two letters then another two numbers. Something like 1234 XV 56 ? I don't recognise the format, anyone know?

Anyway, as it is local I was wondering if it's worth asking the owner to sell should I get the chance to chat with him/her and if so, what is a fair price so as not to insult? I'm sure there are members here who would at least give it a polish and smarten it up?

I know of a beige DS with a French registration down your way that's just been brought over the channel.

You need a well equipped home garage and workshop to maintain a classic car, and 2 good handy hands ...
The only alternative is a very good salary ...

Hmm, yes, quite  I'm doing the first option, though I must say that at the moment I find it quite therapeutic as a stress buster  particularly as there is light at the end of a short tunnel for me :D

That blue DS is putting out something like 400bhp if I remember that article on Jalopnik. No hydropneumatics either.

...edit - Here's the link to the guy who did it:
