To be fair most cars tested in this class around this time gained very similar scores, e.g. Mercedes c class, bmw 3 series, the Saab equivalent and also Audi a4, so it was not too bad for its time.

Anyhow prevention is better than cure, this is where the xantia is good.

Exactly! Its very hard to be involved in a head on collision when you're car is at home being worked on
