That Turbo CT looks nice. Could be worth the money Andrew... Full winter pack by the looks of it. An Activa in all but suspension!

The S1 Activa: Bit chavved. Why ditch the lovely wooden gear knob  And what do those seat covers hide

I'd like to know how a dump valve gives a 50BHP increase though

Bit confused as to what he means by "Full Electric Pack". I see no evidence of a winter pack, the usual meaning of the term.

Bottom line: Easily saved and one to be kept ot of the hands of the grim reapers/despatchers at all costs. My only small concern, as always, is when the car is being offered with no reserve because a company car forces its sale; if it's as good as he says, then surely a sensible reserve should be set. Is it hiding something?

I think we've got to watch out for the Activa Despatchers very carefully!
Mind, the XM 2.0 TCT engine going for £72 quid* a very short while earlier
confuses the situation somewhat; wouldn't it be nice to thing the Credit
Crunch has finally put paid to all that idle stupidness and extravagances!

Can live in hope I guess!

I've got plans afoot regarding a TCT estate with my cunning and devious
designs for it, but in a nice'n interesting way...

Full electrics are just front/rear windows and AC?
I reckon a sunroof and AC warrants this claim on an Activa though.

No I don't think there's anything sinister in the sales patter with any hidden
agenda - he may love it to bits and that's why it's been lightly chavved
and has seat covers. I don't think MANY folk can justify an Activa for a
daily driver in these hard times so a company car could be a viable
practical option, especially if jobs are on the line too.

*Goddammit - missed it - took my eye off the computer... :(

You've not got half such a suspicious mind as I then  Must be the part of the world I live in

I stand corrected. I see the Activa does have a reserve. Good, hopefully enough to keep the despatchers at bay :D I really hope it goes to a good home...

Missed what Andrew? The Activa and TCT are still "live" :?

Tell more of this TCT you are planning? Will it become an Activa Estate by any chance

Don't get me wrong Jim - I don't trust anyone either!! :D

I was just thinking what it would say if a fellow forum member listed their
pride and joy on ebay I'm sure it'd sound pretty much the same sphiel.
The bhp mention may be something he's guilty of being gullible with himself
having been hoodwinked!! It must go all right though if it feels like it's
got an extra 50bhp.

I'm actually quite annoyed with myself. This engine was very cheap and
came with all the ancillaries fitted too! If I'd seen it in time I'd have got it
for my dead blue Activa and not started to go down another path where
plans are still being formulated.

That one has surely gone to a despatcher Andrew, judging by the questions

Still, at least an Activa did not die as a result although it's not good to see an XM die either really

Bit of a bargain that. Shame to think it'll likely never run again; these 205 boys just don't know what's involved in doing the transplant. It's a lot more complex and difficult than at first thought.

I must try a dump valve. Word is that they do make a difference. I keep meanuing to ask my lad for one. I'm sure he has a few stashed away amongst his 200SX bits but they'll be the noisy ones and somehow a noisy, chavvy dump valve is just not right on the Activa.

Liking the estate , lovely spec too and can't be too common.

I have a dump valve I'm going to try on the activa, just need the right pipe fitting first. Of course it won't make any difference to performance, a recirc one may help between the gears of course.

Jim, Andrew, there did used to be alot of stuff talked about increasing power output on the Activanet site and I think they even pointed towards the numpties on the PUG205 site as being the home of the definitive bolt-on, go faster goodies.

Active8 was a regular contributor, so maybe you can shed some light. We need chapter and verse on dump valves! :x :x

By the way, I have an interest in the silver V6 on Ebay that is located near me. Would appreciate some support, and no not a truss.

I'm liking the look of that V6 too - only way I'll probably afford to get one
is something with sortable work needing mental CitroenDIY'er input applied.
I thought you were lined up for Paul/FatherJack's poorly one?

When you say support, are you asking us NOT TO BID?

Did I hear/read my name !

The silver car was actually shown on Activa net, and is a members car, here's a picture of it from that forum. Note it's wearing different rims, & rubber in this picture from the standard ones that are back on it for the ebay listing.

Image

My dump valve seems OK  just finished using it, came back from the dump room when I read this!

Here's another picture of the same car.

Hmm, not wishing to be a kill joy here but bear in mind that the hydraulic system on a V6 is different from other Xantia's. i.e. the pump and steering rack work on a higher pressure/output and a new pump is £300 :? . Maybe Martin can refurbish the pump otherwise its obvious as to why the car is offered for scrap.

Edit, I've looked up the price of a new pump for a V6, its not £300 but £665

Yeah that is a cheap one! :)

Is the pump really that different, and if so why?
