You may have noticed on another thread I have just bought another Visa Gti, I want to remove all the underseal from the wheel arches what is the best way to do this?
Is the only way to scape it off with paint scaper?

This very same question was posed in Practical Classics this month.
Although I cannot find it on a search, Frost are said to do an underseal dissolver. I'll dig out what they said when I get home.
Otherwise, heat it with a hot air gun and scrape. They cautioned against using a blow lamp for this

i agree with the second sudgestion of Jims, hot air paint stripers are very good at this, as long as you dont get to close to any plastic or let any hot underseal drop on your hand,
i have earlier in the year done some extensive welding on my freinds H van, this had about 10 layers of underseal under the wheel arches i had to remove, hot air gun and scraper was very easy
