the heater blower is not working

all fuses and air intake, rear demister , A/C controls are fine

this problem occured last yr but resolved itself after a few days

plz help

probably either the resistor pack or a bad conection usualy at the main plug going to the resistor pack on the fan houseing, my xant plays up at random, and i know i have an intermitant bad conection on one of the thick wires at that plug, as the plastic body of the plug has melted a bit

is this easy to check i.e. can i do it myself
