My serpentine belt started to squeal a few weeks ago.
Well, replaced the belt myself, squeal gone. But after a few days a different squealing noise from the belting area came up. Turns out the top plastic pulley needs replacing.
I've got some ideas on how remove the power steering pump. But I'm at a lost on how to remove its bracket that has the plastic pulley mounted to it as well.
Can anybody guide me? Thanks heaps!

thanks! but mine's slightly different
Thanks for the pic. But mine's a bit different actually.
There are 2 plastic pulley for ZX 2.0. One's down below behind the Aircon compressor, which is the tensioner pulley. The second one is further up, behind the power steering pump, with fixed position. This pulley is inaccessible (the wheel housing wall is adjacent to its fixing bolt). Can't even squeeze a hex key in there!
I assume your pic is for the 16-valve engine?

It's replaced!
At last!
Had the pulley replaced. I had a go at first on the weekend, turns out there's the power steering pump, alternator and top engine mount to remove before I can get my hands on the bracket for the pulley. Only got as far as taking out the power steering pump as I don't have any air tools to go any further.
Left the car with my mechanic today and job done! Had to fix the squealing temporarily by squirting some oil at its bearing. Only worked for a while given its mileage.
Still, thanks for the guide!
