S2 Xantia reset service clock

Post by Xaccers »

A colleague has asked how do you reset the service interval clock on S2 xantias?
His local garage have done it in the past, but won't tell him how.

Simple, hold the trip reset down while turning the ignition to the run position.
It then cycles thru certain mile markings. Just let go when it gets to the one he next wants it to come on at.
Think they are
100
1000
3000
6000
10000 IIRC

Oh and if you dont let go before it hits 10k it accepts that as your answer but you can turn IGN off and do it all again :)

I am told by a dealer, that you press the trip meter in with key removed and while holding it depressed insert the key and switch on the ignition (not actually starting the car).

Apparently it counts - not sure up or down - but I think it resets to 20000km which is supposed to be the service reminder interval...

Regards, Adam.
