I started it and knew I'd fail miserably so stopped

I once had to do a test like that to join GPO Telephones as an apprentice (shows how long ago).

I failed it so miserably they said I just did not have any mechanical aptitude at all

Luckily the outfit I did get an apprentiship with (and still with them to this day) relied on practical tests rather than paper ones.

Mind you, if I do an IQ test I come out with an IQ in double figures (just). There is something wrong with my brain in that I just cannot do those kind of tests.

I came out with 70%
Looking back over the ones I got wrong, they looked like stupid mistakes, mixing things up/ doubling rather than dividing

I normally pass on quizzes and tests as I really have no burning desire to know how stupid I are.

Had a go at this one expecting a dismal result (which I would have discretely buried, of course) but surprised myself with 84%.

Now, which end of this screwdriver is the business end?

I'm thick as mince but really good at doing these tests. I got 98%. Just don't ask me to do anything in real life.

Interestingly you guys seem to score much more than the guys on the bmw5 forum, they averaged 70 - 80%. I'm quite happy with 84%.

I like the way marsalek had to provide evidence! Not photoshopped is it?

Some people are better in 'real life' than in paper. So it's ok jim, although i would have liked to see ur figure. Now where's anders, and dickieg, and mandrake?

96% But I would like to add that electronics and mechanics are the only things I'm any good at and I've had nearly 70 years experience at them.

At the end of the test there is the option to review your answers. You can step through each question and it tells you the correct answer and the answer you gave. Unfortunately you would have to do the quiz again to take advantage of this.
