Yes, I remember AndyC, and his very interesting seperate dedicated web site with the project to do just that to an Activa.citrojim wrote:To paraphrase Will Holman in Practical Performance Car...

Although having looked at this information about a Peugeot model, and the bhp figure for a 1.6 litre then could you imagine the power output if it was a 2.0litre turbo!
Here's the info as seen on a main stealer web site....
The Peugeot 308 RCZ - Concept or Reality!?
Peugeot has unveiled the 308 RCZ, a 2+2 coupe concept vehicle based on the new popular 308 hatchback.
It is powered by a 1.6 litre turbocharged unit which is capable of delivering 218bhp!
The main performance figures are a top speed of 235 km/h and a 0-100 km/h sprint in 7 seconds!
So would the 2.0litre be in the 240bhp region?
If it where real!
Imagine how an Activa would go with that in it! 8)

VW/Seat have got 225 BHP from a 1.8 litre engine for a while now. Probably wouldn't suit an Activa though, although I've never driven one. I can imagine the VW 150 BHP diesel suiting most things nicely though!ACTIVE8 wrote:So would the 2.0litre be in the 240bhp region?

never happend as i bought his 3.0 V6 off him. Unfortunatly his V6 had many faults on it, i spent £800 after buying it off him putting it partly right, but by that point the cylinder head was on its way out due to radiator fans not working and consistent overheating. Was a shame, but had to sell it for parts or major repair a year later, was not worth spending the money on since it need so much and i had plowed so much into by that point, ABS sensors and many other things.ACTIVE8 wrote:Yes, I remember AndyC, and his very interesting seperate dedicated web site with the project to do just that to an Activa.citrojim wrote:To paraphrase Will Holman in Practical Performance Car...

So, what happened to the car was it sold for parts, or does it still exist?
Also citrojim I don't think I have got the time to stick a V6 in it, that's why the Geman cars with the V6 in them, 8) shown on the Activas spotted on ebay thread, are so VERY VERY TEMPTING.

I bought a £30 power valve thingy from the internet installed it in the hose going to the turbo and the gain was fantastic, it gave a right kick in the pants at first i had it to high and the engine light came on just a peak boost so i backed it down again. it has not given me any probs and I reckon it has given me minimum 30 bhp more 30 quid eh!!

I sold it to a guy who said he wanted just a runner for a few months. Its not be taxed recently so i presume he scrapped it after he had finished.ACTIVE8 wrote:Quackers wrote:never happend as i bought his 3.0 V6 off him.
