Hi there,
I bought a Mk1 Clio a few months ago as a project car, just to learn how to work on a car and carry out tasks ranging from fuel filter changes to things like a head gasket change.
As luck would have it, I found one with head gasket failure, and because it was never intended to be driven or used on the road by myself I bought it.
The coolant is a horrible green colour and I have been thinking about doing a coolant flush on it, but then I decided not to, as I'd have to flush the coolant again when I change the head gasket.
But, because it's such a horrible colour, I was wondering whether it might be doing damage to the radiator or anything else? Should I change it now, just to get a normal coolant in there and help prevent any damage/further damage to the coolant system?
