Looks a bit flimsy to be accurate. Cannot see how you can combine a head of a normal ratchet onto a sprung loaded torque arm and expect it to be up to the job? Wonder how accurate they are and if they can be adjusted? My Snap-On ratchets, which have similar heads, always need re-adjustment or servicing and I only use them occasionally.

My old Britool torque wrenches still do the job after thirty-five years and are easy to recalibrate.

Always thought Draper tools were a bit second rate. [-X

Probably the same as Argos 701/3887 or several other badged versions. I have owned a Clarke version for a good few years.

It covers most 1/2 inch bolts, and is of adequate far east quality. I use it mainly for wheel nuts.

Surely, even an inaccurate torque wrench is better than a wild guess? :)
Much better than a sheared fastener? :D

You could always use a spanner of known length and a spring balance. You could then calculate the force generated in Newtons (NM) or footpounds ftlbs to give you an accurate measure of the torque applied to the head of the bolt or nut.

Picked mine up today.
Seems very solid and the manual states its rugged and designed for workshops.
It also mentions the calibration service offered by draper.
