3 relay fan wiring.. pug / cit and now chevy ;)

Hi all

Can you look at

I have redrawn and simplified the wiring for the series / parallel wiring on our fans.. I want to fit a twin fan set up to my camper...

I am ok with it except the wire coming out of switch position '2' needs to energise all three relays, but in position one, it needs to energise just the first relay.. as I have drawn it, it will energise all relays whether on 1 or 2 position..

as I write I think the answer is a double pole switch or something...
?

You could use a three-position switch with an ‘off’ position, where a diode feeds relay 1 on the 3-relay high-speed position.

hi Cloggz, sorry I was using an off,1,2 switch..

but I can see the diode you've added

the switch is off, 1, 1 and 2 so no need for a diode although I brought 4 from Maplins as I felt guilty buying one for 25p

its not as neet as citroen, work well though

Oooh ! The lovely contraption !

Is an off-1-1&2 switch a common car electrics switch, or did you cobble it ?
Will you have to watch the gauge to switch, and haven’t got thermostatic switching ?

4 diodes for £1 won’t go astray; one day they will come in handy to repair, or to make a bridge rectifier.

Cloggz that took me ages ! 30 mins at least!

switch came from Demoon tweaks, was quite suprised to see 1 and 1and2 ..

it even has a fan pic on it

Have digital temp gauge too as dont trust the chevy one, wil work switch manually for now...

another pic in next few days
