Xantia heated fuel filter

I run a T reg xantia facelift 1.9TD on veg oil with a twin tank system. The veg oil only goes through the original heated fuel filter, however recently I have had a problem with air getting in the system, which is not good! As far as i can tell the air is getting into the filter housing somewhere. I have tried a new filter and seal, additional silicon sealant all to no avail. I feel that i have no option but to change the heated filter housing, has anyone else had this problem or has any pointers as to where the air is coming in from?

Teh_Agent did, on several housings, leaking from the white thermostat adjuster on the left hand side of it.
Turned out to be a blocked return feed to the tank, which citrojim cleared with an airline.
