Its funny with all this talk of aux belts & idler wheels that after doing my cambelt I am having problems with the routing of the serpentine belt. In recent posts I was hoping someone would post a picture for Colin or Red Dwafers but no such luck!
Car is a 97 Xantia with standard aircon. It feels like ive tried every combination of routing teh belt but I have about 4" of slack. Something so simple and I muck it right up
Ta in advance - Craig.

Hi Craig,
If you have a Xantia BoL, it shows a perfect picture of the belt routing in the Diesel Routine maintenance section on page 1B.14.
As it's the BoL, ignore their diagram for the 1.9TD and use the diagram next door for the 2.1TD! The 1.9TD they show is the early one. later 1.9TDs used the 2.1 layout..

Anyhow, is this it?
Those pop-ups. If it continues, I'll give the webservers a reboot tomorrow morning, early.

If you really need the help Craig, I can call over and give you a lift over
to show you the dying 97 TD VSX in Pennard here...
the way things are going, I'll be trying to persuade you to buy it off me,
confounded diesel rubbish...
Give me a petrol engine any day!

That looks like it. Just tip the angle of it over a bit
I am sure that I have done that combination already Thanks for the replys everyone I will give it another try tomorrow.
*EDIT* Thanks for the offer Andrew, but I fear if I see any of your collection I will want to buy something and I will get a severe telling off and end up sleeping in the shed.
