I had a two Renault 4s back in the 70s Steve. Brillaint little cars and I loved them to bits.
My first was a 1969 model with 6V electrics and a gearchange that differed very slightly from my dad's early R5 of the time; first and reverse were in opposite positions
That led to some "fun" on the rare occasion I took dad's car for a spin!
My second R4 was a '73 model with 12V electrics

A vast improvement. I then got a 1979 R5. A good car but characterless against the R4...
I've never had the pleasure of a 2CV but delighted to see their 60th has been properly marked by the Beeb.
Donkeys years ago I saw a rather good documentary on the 2CV. I think it was called "The Tin Snail" and might have been aired on CH4.
Perhaps it'll be aired again soon; I'd love to watch it again...
