speedo operation

speedo operation

I've noticed that my speedo will work fine until about 10mph below which it just drops to zero. Is this normal? I'm wondering about the speedo pick up sensor as I also have an intermittent low speed glitch with the autobox.
It infuriates me to be wrong when I know I'm right
