ZX missing plip

The one key supplied with my latest ZX is a copy and not a very accurate one! While it works OK in the ignition it is very sticky in the drivers door and won't open the other doors. The central locking works OK but I have no plip.
I remember ordering replacement plips years ago, from Citroen for my wife's ZX, and paying over £100 <img src=icon_smile_shock.gif border=0 align=middle>

I'm not sure whether the reciever has to go under the bonnet or inside the car, maybe it could go in the bump next to the sunroof switch in place of the original unit.
Has anybody seen or fitted one of these type things or have any thoughts?

if its an infra red remote/recever it will have to go in a line of sight of the remote.it will probably be an HF recever though which means it can be out of sight,eg behind the dashboard would be the best place.
