Try Car parts direct - I've used them and my CV joint turned up about 7.30 the next morning!

Eurocarparts don't list any diesel ones as available

euro car parts

Post by kevino »

Hi Jeremy,
I have just tried car parts direct and found that a rad is £148.99 I think that is way too much money what do you think? I am looking for a rad somewhere under £100 including delivery.
cheers kevino

The TD (turbodiesel) rad for the BX is even dearer - and wont fit the n/a diesel RD. Its got special angled studs, which will require a set of TD coolant hoses to fit an RD.

The RD rad is rather simple in layout, with straight angled studs. I suspect its quite easy to modify any other large rad to fit the BX N/A diesel.
There is adequate space to fit a couple of homemade brackets to secure the rad to existing mountings, so it wont be too bad fitting a petrol 1,9 rad.

Hi Malcolm,
I'm afraid it isn't much use to me i'm in the wirral near liverpool and my car being poorly i wouldn't make it to huntingdon, I need to try somewhere nearer or have the item posted which would cost a fortune.

Cheers kevino
P.S. have a great time this weekend

Not nesser-celery.

It is generally cheaper to have items like that couriered, I have had a few amps and CD players couriered around and the prices weren't bad.

The dearest was a pre/power amp in two boxes. The pre- weighed about as much as a radiator, the power was 36KG. £22 for the pair (one consignment)

That was UPS IIRC but it pays to shop around as they have different conditions and threshold weights.
