suspension diagram for P reg Xantia VSX Please?

Post by falling-out-with-my-car »

Hi, can anyone direct me to a suspension/sphere ID and location diagram for a Xantia VSX P registraition Please?

My dad has an old VSX and it has 7 spheres 3 in front and four at the back, only the haynes manual is useless at identifying what the fourth sphere is used for at the rear end is it an accumulator shere like the front or something else? and diagram would be most useful please?

Thanks in advance Nigel.

Don't forget the main accumulator that gives you 8 altogether:

going by GSF's part numbers you get the following:

2x N45334 SPHERE-FRONT XANTIA 1.8 16v/1.9TD/2.0/HDI +Hydractive 19.50

1x N45322 SPHERE-FRONT CENTRE XANTIA CENTRE FRONT 19.50

1x N45304 ACCUMULATOR SPHERE XANTIA ACCUMULATOR 19.50

2x N45368 SPHERE-REAR XANTIA 2.0 8V;16V;1.9TD HATCH HYDRACTIVE 19.50

1x N45354 SPHERE-REAR CENTRE XANTIA CENTRE REAR 19.50

1x N45372 ANTISINK SPHERE-REAR XANTIA ANTI SINK (EXC ACTIVA) 19.50

The 4 found at the rear are the hydractive three with the third sitting up
on the high right looking up towards the front of the car with big feed pipes
in/out and the additional sphere is the so called anti-sink or rear brake
accumulator.

Brilliant :)

I've also got a scanned copy of a citroen manual here which has the same information:

http://homepages.igrin.co.nz/simon/imag ... a_spheres/

I haven't checked to see whether they are identical or whether one is more up to date, but there it is, for what it's worth...

Simon
