I own a '97 P-reg ZX 1.4i SX, as it say in my siggy.
I've had the idle actuator valve replaced under warranty after I bought the car, because it seemed to be idling wrong - it would race and then drop off when at idle, sometimes cutting out. if it did this while coasting this proved dangerous because it would take the power steering with it.
All seemed fine for the few weeks after I had the new actuator installed. however, now, about 3 months down the line, the problem seems to be starting again - the idle is a bit fluffy and it's cut out on me again once. it's not nearly as bad but I fear it'll get worse.
Can anyone suggest to me why my car might be eating idle actuator valves? is it a sign of a deeper problem?
Cheers
Alex
