Grease won’t penetrate the hinges, they need a very creepy oil.
The stop rod below the top hinge also needs oiling in the pivot, and along the side facing the inside of the car.
You could try WD40 as a first quick fix, but that will only last a few days.
I recently did all my hinges with automatic transmission fluid, and they’re now all smooth and silent, like new.
